Growing up in the small town of Fessenden, North Dakota, Andy was able to spend his spare time hunting, fishing and snow skiing down the one hill in the whole state. Living in the wide open farm country gave him a chance to stay busy farming in the summers throughout high school and college. He is one of the 7 graduates from the class of 1995 at Fessenden High School in Fessenden, ND.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mary, in Bismarck ND, where he studied Biology and Chemistry. After completing college he went to work in a chemistry lab for the Department of Health located in Bismarck, ND. He worked there for about 2 years while daydreaming of his 7th grade science project in “optics” and decided to go back to school.

He was accepted into the Pacific University College of Optometry program in the fall of 2001. He enjoyed the challenges that came with receiving his doctorate degree; however, spending 10 hours a day in a dark room doing his work was not a profession he wanted to pursue. After graduating in 2005, he moved back to North Dakota and started working on his cousin’s 20,000 acre grain farm, as well as overseeing their chemical business.

He fell in love with the Englewood, Florida area over the last 5 years when he traveled to visit his sister and brother in law who lived here, and decided to move to the area and start a new life as a Floridian in the fall of 2009. “I feel very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work for Manasota Key Realty as a Sales Associate. The people and atmosphere in the Englewood area just cannot be beat, and I am very excited to be a part of it.”
